The MagiX software will allow people to communicate over the internet and mobile communications networks (cellular) and have the following advantages :
Here are a few functionality aspects that MagiX offer to it's users, that will bring the conclusions below (regarding profits)
|
MAIL EXCHANGE |
Between MagiMail accounts stored on the service and outside mail accounts (POP3 locations etc). Also HTTP mail (such as Hotmail and Yahoo) can be merged into the service with the respective provider's agreement.
All user's mail is stored on the MagiMail server with the quota limit of his type of account (free, silver, gold, premium etc). details
This means that if a client connects from home using the MagiX software, he can read his mail, send mail, etc, then disconnect and save not even a single file or leave a trace on the computer he used to connect. Then he can go to his office in the other side of the city and connect again with another MagiX installation (the one from the office) and have access to the same mail messages, folders, contacts, message archives etc without moving with him any floppy disk, CDROM or any storage device
ALL THE FILES ARE ON THE MAGIMAIL SERVER. No existing mail service or client has an option that allows such behaviour.
Also mail folders and mail filters are supported by the servers.
The user has a contacts list stored on the server (for portability) that allows him to select multiple persons (like selecting them in Explorer or Yahoo messenger) and start his conference or chat.
|
VOICE CHAT/ CONFERENCING |
Above services like text chat and text conference are being added with full voice support and video streams, coming from both sides the clients and the host.
- Whiteboard = blank window inside which users can draw anything they desire, such as schematics, play x & o etc, that can be shared inside chats or conferences.
The Whiteboard is present only inside NetMeeting (software that must be paid to be legally used) or Yahoo Messenger (still this is not included in YM but must be downloaded as an IMVironment)
- File sending and receival - can be performed within clients of a chat or a conference, or within online and offline clients (par example, a user which is online desires to send a file to another one, which is not. The file stays on the server and the destinataire receives it as soon as he gets online, no matter if he is using MagiX or Yahoo or whatever)
- SMS sending - inside the contacts box (like the one on Outlook express or Yahoo messenger) the user can add a mobile number for every one of his contacts. Then he can click it to pop up a window inside where he types the text. After that, the MagiX server sends the SMS to his contact as soon as the mobile operator under contract allows it ( 2-10 seconds) |
TEXT CHAT |
Between online or offline MagiChat, Yahoo, MSN or ICQ clients, using the service's servers (or the respective provider's servers, such as Yahoo MSN and ICQ).
The MagiX servers will allow the clients to establish and maintain active or passive chat connections using an unique communication protocol designed by the development teams, built on top of existing TCP/IP and with some future ivp6 implementations.
Active user/client = standalone computer with no firewall and direct internet access via it's IP address
Passive client / user = standalone computer with masqueraded IP (no internet-visible connection) or filtering firewall.
Communications like passive-active or passive-passive connections are established and maintained over MagiX server (with interaction with additional services where needed, as Yahoo MSN or ICQ)
|
TEXT CONFERENCING |
Host-based text conference, listed in the MagiX directory (with invisibility option from the host), where multiple clients can join, whether they are active or passive, MagiChat clients or external services clients (Yahoo, MSN, ICQ)
The host of the conference can set up parameters like : which users are allowed to talk or not, how much the clients must pay (including our percents of the amount) to join the conference (useful for technical assistance providers, video chat services and many many more ! basically the users can watch movies on MagiX instead of the cinema for even a lower price !)
|
PEOPLE SEARCH |
Any user that desires to make new contacts can search within an indexed database stored on the MagiX server ro find people according to some criteria, like : Age, Sex, Location, Languages Spoken, or any other desired criteria. After the search results are displayed the user can add contacts from the results as he desires.
This works with MagiX and ICQ too.

Sources of income for the MagiX associates / owners : |
MAIL ADVERTISING |
MagiX can provide a very large database of e-mail addresses (MagiMail or outside services) that can be used for mail advertising. So an advertising client that desires his ad to be sent by mail to a number of recipients, he just uploads the HTML file that the message will consist of, pay the fee and the message is sent to all the mail addresses he requested.
Also they can upload mail addresses from inside their database to maximize the advertising randament, which are also saved and logged on MagiX. |
CONFERENCES |
Supposing that a major company would like to offer technical assistance to their clients, on the services or products they provide, MagiChat is a solution.
Every technical specialist from the customer company starts a conference (text/voice/video or all in one), clicks the checkbox that allows the conference to be visible and waits for users to join. Eventually he can set up a fee to be paid by the users who must join the conference, fee which passes first thru MagiX administrators, being deducted with some small percents (as service providers fee) and then transferred to this customer company bank account. All this being made over the internet in maxi 2 minutes.
Video chat companies (porn etc) can join the MagiX network, bring the girls online and set up a MagiX account for every one of them. Then any girl can start a conference and place a fee for the users who want to watch her. |
BANNERS |
Inside the main application there is a banner area which is fixed for all customers (eventually dockable for those that pay for the service).
Similar banners can be found in large sizes over Yahoo MSN ICQ and the rest.
The banners are stored on a database on the MagiX server, from where every client downloads them and shows it to the users.
To place a banner inside the MagiX network every advertising customer must pay a fee, depending on how much he wants the banner to be visible and to what categories of users the banner is intended.
Along with the banner itself (jpg picture uploadable directly in the database) the advertising client provides an URL which is opened inside an Web Browser when the client clicks his banner. All those clicks are logged inside the MagiX database and can be charged additionally as desired by the service provider.
|
MAIL SERVICES |
The standard MagiMail account has 3-5 Mb of storage included (as Yahoo offers 6 and MSN 5). Any user who wants to maximize their mailbox must pay a small fee for every Megabyte he desires.
This takes the accounts to more formats, like Silver, Gold, or Premium. |
DEDICATED SOLUTIONS FOR LARGE COMPANIES - MagiX Enterprise |
Any company that has a large network of computers and many employees can use a dedicated MagiX licence to communicate easily on the inside.
They will only need a Linux or Unix server to place the MagiX server software and a dedicated MagiX client that comes on CDROM.
